I cannot identify this kit. Amazingly it was discovered in
the mid summer of 2002 by my 82 year old mother who lives in a village near
Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, England. She told me that one of her
neighbours had just bought "a car just like yours but it is yellow" I thought
yea, yea, Mam - it's a sports car so you think it's an MR2. She was right as you
can see! But what an MR2 - what on earth is this kit? I knocked on the
neighbours door, the chap who answered told me that he had bought it for his
wife from someone in the West Midlands and neither he nor the previous owner
knew anything about the kit - they just liked the colour!

Robin Entwistle kindly sent this E-mail: I thought you might be interested in
the following info about this kit. It was featured in Specialist Sports car in
Feb/March 1987, and was offered by the Peterborough Toyota dealer Parker and Fry
as a limited edition.
The kit was designed by the Munich based dealers Haslbeck GMbh who were
agents and R and D engineers. The kit was imported by Birmingham based Silver
Knight. The kit consisted of replacement front wings, rear quarters and front
and rear spoilers. My initial search on the web did not pick up any more info
but some of your members may have more.

I know a little bit more about the Haslbeck-kit. It was made by Haslbeck, but
Toyota Germany sold MR2īs with this bodykit as a special version named "High
Tech" including a different rear wing and and a frame for the rear license plate

Original Haslbeck 6 page brochure - showing white leather
interior and 7x15 wheels with 225 rear tyres. These would have made the handling
rather tricky.
Waiting for an English translation of the text and better pictures, sorry
about the sellotape and ring binder holes.
