III Top 2 photos, 2001 Rim of the World ProRally Our car is undergoing some visual changes for 2002 and we hope
to get some magazine features with our new look. All the red decals from
the SportCompactCar photo shoot are gone and we are going for a black and white
theme this year.
Roof vent style from Fast and the Furious. I'm still
deciding on whether to use this on the car - it's pretty outrageous. If there is
interest, we may be able to get more of these to sell to MR2 junkies. Only
really appropriate for hardtops, unless you don't want to use your sunroof or
T-Tops anymore!
Anyone wanna buy a used rally hood? This thing flew up no fewer
than 3 times - once destroying the windshield, once causing me to drive 1.5
miles home in reverse. All 3 times my fault - forgetting to do up the hood pins - dumbass!
OK, how cool is this? We're going for the full rally car look,
no more 2 lights sticking out of the hood motif like last year.

If William ever gets off his butt, we may be offering the following rally proven

2) Brake kits
3) Supercharger stuff
4) Coil-over conversions
5) Naked rally pictures
I backed into the 180 BHP based on dyno runs I did that showed 156~158 Rear
Wheel HP. Assume 12-15% drivetrain losses and you get around 180 - slightly less
but it is a nice round number.
I run 12 PSI boost and the engine is ported and was balanced by an aircraft
engine shop. It is very slick and runs pretty efficiently. Custom MagnaFlow
exhaust good for a couple, surprisingly, removing the CAT makes no HP diff.
Running 15" rims vs 14" rims on the dyno cost me 10HP - that was the
most surprising find of all.
Hi Terry - the S/C is great - in fact it is for sale. There are two mags that
want to run full features on it, so I'll probably keep it for at least that
long. Next race is in Sept but we plan to miss it - Still run stock ECU - it is
terrible and doesn't know what to do with increased boost levels - it goes full
rich all the time - I get awful gas mileage - there are several available from
Japan - if you can read japanese to figure out the software - there was a
company called Techtom in Torrance, CA who made one, they were going to sponsor
me but fell through when they changed their business model and name of company,
etc.
Good luck - William Yates
